CCD (Confraternity of Christian Doctrine)
This is the religious education program for our children grades Kindergarten through Eighth Grade. Classes typically meet from Catechetical Sunday in September through Palm Sunday in the Spring. Each session is from 9:15-10:45AM in our Parish Hall.
First Holy Communion
This sacrament is typically celebrated by our parish children who are in the second grade. Preparation takes place in CCD classes. There are parent meetings and a retreat titled “Jesus Day” for the children and their parents that are part of the preparation. First Communion is typically celebrated on the first Sunday of May at 1:00PM.
This sacrament is typically celebrated for the first time by our children in the second grade. Preparation takes place in the CCD classes. There are parent meetings at the beginning of the CCD year that are part of the preparation process. The celebration of First Reconciliation typically takes place in December.
This sacrament is typically celebrated by our youth who are in the eighth grade. Preparation for this sacrament includes sessions for candidates, parents and sponsors as well as a Retreat and opportunities for prayer, service and community building. Confirmation is a Sacrament of Initiation whereby the graces of Baptism are brought to completion and the recipients receive the graces of the Sacrament and a greater outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Communion make up the three sacraments of initiation into the Roman Catholic Church and must all be completed to be a fully initiated member of the Church.
Vacation Bible School
This program is offered for the children who are aged pre-school through fifth grade completed. The program follows a particular theme and is offered for one week in the Summer.
Family Faith Days
These events are gatherings when the entire parish can grow in knowledge of our faith together. These events will typically include Mass, a meal, a large group gathering for all ages as well as break out sessions with age specific content.
